Given that poverty can be a self-perpetuating situation, I considered it necessary to carry out a detailed analysis of its determinants, both at the level of the individual and at the level of society as a whole. Thus, the paper aims to provide a perspective into how these determinants can influence poverty levels and limit economic development.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In accordance with the literature, this paper highlights that poverty is the result of a combination of interconnected factors, which can generate a vicious circle that is difficult to break in the absence of a holistic view of this phenomenon.
