Abstract: This paper examines the role of communication in the implementation of circular economy, focusing on how students specialising in economic engineering receive and interpret sustainability-related information, as their perceptions may directly shape the extent to which circular-economy practices are understood, adopted, and integrated into future economic and engineering contexts. Based on a quantitative survey method, the study evaluated students’ awareness, attitudes, and perceived relevance of circular-economy communication and practices. The findings show that students generally recognise the importance of sustainability communication but differ in terms of how they actually apply circular-economy concepts. The study emphasizes the central role of communication in stimulating sustainability-related behaviours among future engineers, while also highlighting the importance of integrating circular-economy principles into educational and professional environments.
