Abstract: The software industry is considered to be one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the last decade, especially in the Central and Eastern Europe. Its importance is highlighted by the numerous studies published in the specialized literature, however very few studies were focused on the evolution of the financial indicators of the companies operating in the field. In order to bring a novel approach regarding the performance of the software companies, the current study is focused on analyzing the evolution of financial indicators of the main companies operating in the software industry in 3 Central and Eastern European countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania.
