 Description:

This sub-section welcomes papers exploring the linkages between sustainable economic development and competitiveness, both internationally, as well as in the European Union. In particular, papers should address some aspect of economic politics and policies affecting the sustainable economic development, or how economic development affects competitiveness, economic politics and political outcomes. Submissions of both rigorous quantitative and qualitative papers are encouraged. Of particular interest are submissions in (but not limited to) the following areas:

1.3 Sub-section The Impact of Foreign Languages on the Business Environment

Description:

This sub-section is open to papers tackling issues like assessing and understanding the needs for global skills in business and identifying the role and value of languages and cultural skills to a business. Of equal importance it is the identification of the potential role of a business as an integral part of a dynamic that will bring significant change to language education in Romania and not only. Submissions are sought in the following areas:

– Theoretical Linguistics (Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Lexis, Semantics, Graphemics, Orthography);
– Descriptive Linguistics (Comparative, Etymology, Phonetics, Sociolinguistics);
– Applied and Experimental Linguistics (Second Language acquisition; Language assessment, Language development; Language education);

Tourism remains, by force and resistance, a surprising phenomenon economic and social to the old and new challenges: political circumstances, economic volatilities and crisis, climatic change, lifestyle changes, terrorism etc. This conference aims to capture the way in which the phenomenon of touristic reacted, was adapted and modelled after the many influences and emergent trends.
