Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice

The author(s) of the manuscript need to ensure that the original data, the text, illustrations etc. do not infringe upon any existing copyright or other entities third rights (see Copyright Transfer Form).

The manuscript / article submitted for evaluation (including text, figures etc.) remains in the property of The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES), being subject to the copyrights laws. If the article is rejected, the property right of all materials goes back to the authors. The reproduction, posting, transmission or other distribution or use of the article or any of its parts requires a reference to the The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES) (see Copyright Transfer Form).

Before submitting the manuscript (scientific article), please carefully read the bellow AUOES ethical and publication malpractice statement. In order to avoid any type of publication malpractice each manuscript must be accompanied by the AUOES Copyright Transfer Form completed in full and signed by all authors.

 

Originality, Double Submission and Plagiarism

The submitted manuscript must represents the authors’ original work. The manuscript was neither submitted for publication to another journal, nor has already been published (please see the Copyright Transfer Form). The manuscript submission to several journals in the same time is not permitted. If this is the case, the manuscript will be automatically rejected and all authors will lose the right to future submit and publish manuscripts in The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES). Manuscripts with any type of plagiarism will be automatically rejected and the authors will lose the right to future submit and publish in The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES). The authors must be sure that the original data within the manuscript, can be clearly distinguished by the data published in other scientific papers. Also, the text content, captions and any other included materials do not infringe upon any existing copyright or others (third parties) rights (please see the Copyright Transfer Form). If the authors try to republish an already published paper (using their own or other authors` data) the editors of The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES) will inform the editors of the other publication journal of the original paper, the funding agency (if the case), the institution and also the reviewers.

The authors of the manuscript / article submitted to the AUOES have full responsibility for the authenticity of their paperwork. In case of multiple authors, the authenticity of the article needs to be ensured by all of them. Published articles are under the copyright of the AUOES journal. Partial or total publication of an article elsewhere is possible only after the consent from the editors and authors.

 

Authorship and Collective Responsibility

All authors listed in the manuscript / article need to meet the authorship criteria. All of them must have participated in the work in a substantive way and they are prepared to take the full public responsibility for their work (please see the Copyright Transfer Form). Also, all authors must have brought their contribution to the manuscript and the common agreement has been reached before submission (please see the Copyright Transfer Form). If this condition is not met, the manuscript can’t be accepted for evaluation in order to be further published in The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES).

The corresponding author must maintain the communication with the co-authors and make sure that all listed co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript / article and agreed to its publication within the AUOES.

 

The Copyright Transfer Form

The Copyright Transfer Form stipulates the ethical issues and must be signed by all authors. It must accompany the manuscript / article submitted to The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES), otherwise it will be automatically rejected. Please, see the ARTICLE SUBMISSION section on this website.

 

Methodological Ethics

The manuscripts’ / articles’ authors have to consider in their work the professional, social, environmental and ethical issues.

 

Duties & Responsibilities of the Editors

The editors of The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES) have the final decision for the publication of the submitted manuscript / article.

The editors have to defend the integrity standards of the journal. They will notice and decide about any misconduct on behalf of authors or reviewers. If editors suspect the authenticity of an article, its publication is delayed until any doubt is clarified.

Each submission is actively checked for plagiarism using specialized software (i.e. Plagiarism Detector Pro). Positive plagiarism match leads to rejection of the manuscript.

The AUOES Editorial Board may choose to retract or correct a published paper based on observations from authors themselves, readers or the editorial board members. A change in a published paper will be published in the form of errata to the article. A retracted paper will be available in the content list of the volume where it was initially published with the “retraction” observation, while its content will be deleted both from the webpage and from the data bases where the Journal is indexed in.

The AUOES journal applies a double blind review process (please see our Review Policy). Editors will expose information about a submitted manuscript only to the (corresponding) author(s), reviewers and other editorial adviser. Reviewers’ activity will be acknowledged by the Editors, both by their mention in the volume according with their input, as well as through the AUOES website, within the section Editorial Board / Editorial Review Board.

Starting with 2016, the policy of the journal is to strongly encourage the diversity of topics/authors/institutions of affiliation. This refers also to discourage the publication of an author in 2 consecutive issues.

 

Peer-review

If the manuscript does not comply the on-line published Author Guidelines and/or it does not meet the aim and scope of the journal, The Annals of the University of Oradea. Economic Sciences (AUOES) editors reserve the right to reject the manuscript /article without peer-review. Each paper will be sent to at least two independent reviewers. If major discrepancies are recorded between the two reviewers, a third reviewer will be asked to review the manuscript. The journal editors will decide the acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts according to these reviews.
