Turbotax User Agreement

To qualify, you must submit, print and email your individual income tax return (with a free federal tax return paid or qualified) with TurboTax 2020. Claims must be filed with Intuit within 60 days of receipt of your audit manual, filing a claim with the following documents (1) Audit Support Request Claim Summary, (2) Copy of your TurboTax payment document and (3) IRS or a government review letter. Please use a traceable distribution method and manage copies of submitted articles for your recordings. Non-payment requests require a sub-copy of all necessary items. Please allow up to 6 weeks for processing and delivery. If you did not receive your cheque after 8 weeks, please contact us. In order to validate your claim and be eligible for reimbursement, Intuit may need your TurboTax 2020 data file and/or other support information such as copies of your printed tax returns. If you believe that such a miscalculation has occurred, you must notify Intuit as soon as you become aware of the error (and under no circumstances more than 30 days after the imposition of the penalty or interest and within the federal and/or national tax statute of limitations) at ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/how-do-i-submit-a-claim-under-the-turbotax-100-accurate-calculation-guarantee-or-100-accurate-expert/00/26065 or by mail from Intuit Inc. To validate the claim, Intuit may need your TurboTax tax data file (mandatory if you haven`t published an electronic file), a copy of the IRS/State notification, and any other documents to support income, deduction or credit.

If you are a registered user who has updated your copy of TurboTax with the latest update available before submitting your return and verifying the suitability of your return, and you pay an IRS or state fine and/or interest only because of a miscalculation on a form, created with TurboTax, and not due, among other things, non-disclosure of all necessary information, intentional or fraudulent omission or inclusion of information on your tax return, misclassification of tax return information, or non-filing of an amended tax return, to avoid or reduce an applicable penalty/interest after Intuit has announced updates or corrections to TurboTax in a timely manner so that you can file a tax return. , then intuit will pay you the amount of the IRS or the state fine and/or interest paid by you to the IRS or the state.
